Rajab Ali Syed
I was born on Jan. 4, 1990. Even as a kid, I realized I did not perceive my surroundings the way other children did. This was the product of my highly independent (or neglected, some would say) upbringing. The spawn of working parents, I grew up in the company of books, magazines, videogames, television, movies and my imagination. Being exposed to a spectrum of literature and media at an early age allowed me to develop a way of thinking that is my own and not conditioned to society’s norms. And, as an incurable extrovert, I have never been shy to express my beliefs and opinions on a lot of issues. A seasoned public speaker and debater, I enjoy a good verbal brawl every now and again. As a matter of fact, I have incited many an outrageous or, as Ms. Saulat put it, “controversial” discussion with my peers in the writing of this book. I am currently enrolled at the National College of Arts (N.C.A.), Lahore. I hope and aspire to add artist, photographer, journalist, author, performer, linguist, and world traveler to the list of my adjectives on Wikipedia when I am Googled one day. Of course, I also hope and aspire to be famous, in order to be Googled one day.
